Mobile Shops

Mobile shops can be designed on any size of rigid body, from vehicles for 3.5 to 26 tonne operations. These vehicles are most commonly used for meat and fish applications but since each vehicle is bespoke designed and built, they can be adapted to suit many different operations, from fruit and vegetables, to ice cream or dairy products. Members of the farming community are increasingly benefiting from mobile shop facilities as a method of directly selling their own produce.

Gray & Adams mobile shops are constructed using insulated panels and incorporate health and safety features that prevent cross-contamination and increase safety for operators, such as easily cleaned, smooth, non-porous walls and ceilings and easily cleaned, non-slip floors.

These vehicles are usually comprised of two compartments: one for storing and transporting products at a controlled temperature and one for displaying and selling the products. Mobile units come equipped with washing, cutting and display facilities similar to a conventional shop. Side or rear doors open to display cabinets for selling produce to customers.
