In 2009, Gray & Adams Fraserburgh added a £1.5 million extension to increase capacity for repairs and to cater for a broader range of services. The new, purpose-built facility is clean and open and has been thoughtfully designed, laid out and fitted.
Included in the fit-out is a dedicated paint preparation area (including shotblasting), new and modern paint booths, brake testing facilities, a laser wheel and axle alignment system and a state-of-the-art Josam chassis straightening jig, including an induction heater.

For the first time ever, Gray & Adams can cater for truck accident damage alongside our car and LCV repair centre and body and trailer facility.
Accident damage repairs can be carried out to cars, light commercial vehicles, heavy goods vehicles and other specialist equipment. In recent times we have repaired everything from tractor units and chassis cabs to tippers, cranes and coaches to caravans, mobilehomes and even road gritters.

Car Division
Gray & Adams originated as a body repair shop in Fraserburgh, Scotland, carrying out repairs to early cars and commercial vehicles. Although the company diversified into the manufacture of commercial vehicle bodies in the late fifties-early sixties, the accident repair facility has always remained at Fraserburgh.
We can offer all types of repair, from a small scratch to a major rebuild. Private owners, fleet operators and insurance companies can all be assured of a professional and reliable service.
We can offer a collection and delivery service and courtesy cars can be provided if required.
Van, Truck & Trailer Division
Our fully qualified team are able to deal with all makes of commercial vehicle repairs, from a minor cosmetic scrape to overturned or ‘bridged' vehicles / trailers, as well as refurbishments or body swaps. This work can be carried out on vehicles manufactured by any original supplier, not just our own product.
Chassis & Cab Alignment
Our Josam equipment includes laser alignment measuring equipment for checking and rectifying wheel and axle alignment and checking for chassis distortion. Gray & Adams' experience in chassis straightening and cab alignment, coupled with our specialist painting facility, gives us the ability to repair vehicles that may otherwise be beyond economic repair.
The Josam equipment allows us to repair and straighten all types of chassis cab. The procedure we use begins by setting the cab on a jig. Repairable panels are carefully reset and those beyond repair are cut out and new replacements fitted. Using our equipment and specialist knowledge, even a badly twisted chassis, that might otherwise be considered a ‘write-off', can be straightened back to the original manufacturer's specifications.
Our wheel alignment service can significantly reduce unnecessary tyre wear and consequently fuel consumption, thereby helping you to run your vehicles as cost effectively as possible.
Commercial Paint Division
Our new technologically-advanced paint booths are fully compliant with recently-introduced paint regulations and can cater for any size of car or commercial vehicle.
We also offer a complete livery liaison service including livery graphic design and application, to enhance your corporate identity. Through thorough preparation and by using the very latest paint technology we can ensure a high quality, lasting finish.
