Clinical Waste Vehicles

Another vehicle in the Gray & Adams portfolio that demonstrates the company's ability to manufacture highly specified and highly regulated products is the clinical waste vehicle.

Since clinical waste is classified as a dangerous good, there is a need to comply with a number of government legislative requirements, all of which have been taken into consideration when designing these vehicles.

Key Features of Clinical Waste Vehicles:

  • The vehicles are comprised of twin deck rigid bodies, with hydraulic lifting deck floors for increased capacity and working height. The vehicles are capable of carrying 36 medical bins in total: 18 on each level
  • Customised load restraint systems have been designed to ensure total load security
  • A number of health & safety features are included to protect the environment and vehicle operators from the hazards posed by the transportation of dangerous goods
  • Vehicles are supplied with a fully welded, waterproof chequerplate aluminium floor to minimise risk of contamination and for ease of cleaning
  • Dhollandia double deck tail lifts are included, which are equipped with additional semi-traction batteries and split charger systems because of their high duty cycle.
