Gray & Adams Fraserburgh is the company headquarters and manufacturing facility for semi-trailers and insulated panels for rigid vehicles. Since moving to the current premises in 1966, from a nearby body repair shop, Gray & Adams has extended its coverage to embrace the whole of the UK and Ireland.
The facility now produces and assembles a comprehensive range of premium trailer specifications from 13.6m single and multi-temperature and specialist designs such as the shorter length city trailers and high capacity twin decks.
Fraserburgh underwent its first significant expansion programme in 1988 and again in 1990, when a panel manufacturing facility was added to cater for the Construction and Use Regulations, which allowed for the introduction of 13.6m trailers.
In the last four years alone, the company has invested more than £6 million in the Fraserburgh site, with the addition of a 12 acre site to house a dedicated chassis fabrication unit and the installation of advanced CNC machinery from leading European suppliers for panel production and bodywork assembly. All of the machinery is bespoke, having been designed and constructed to meet the specific requirements of Gray & Adams’ production and process requirements.
