Gray and Adams offer many different types of load restraint systems.
LOADLOK RAILS AND BARS

-
Surface-Mounted Loadlok: This is the simplest form and is fixed to the sidewall, therefore taking up some of the internal space of the body or trailer. To avoid this, impressed or recessed loadlok can be opted for.
-
Recessed Loadlok: To fit recessed loadlok, the panel needs to be cut into in order for the loadlok to be recessed into it. It is fixed to the sidewall using a top hat section and scuff protection is an integral part of this construction.
-
Impressed Loadlok: Impressed loadlok is less expensive than the recessed type as it is integrated into the sidewall panel at the manufacturing stage meaning that valuable load space is not compromised. However, scuff protection may need to be added with impressed loadlok.
-
M3 Loadlok: This type is used in roll cage operations to restrain the cages so that they cannot move about in transit.
Straps or bars are then used to restrain the load. Load restraint straps or D-cups and bars slot into the loadlok rails after pallets have been loaded to ensure that they are wedged in and cannot slide about when the vehicle or trailer is moving.
Loadlok bars can be spring-loaded or can be operated by a ratchet mechanism. Loadlok can be horizontal (sidewall to sidewall) or vertical (roof to floor):

Captive Strapping: When opting for loadlok straps or bars, Gray & Adams can provide a captivation system, which works by securing the straps or bars to a wire rope running the ful length of the laodlok track. This prevents them from being removed from the trailer or truck body.
STORAGE OPTIONS FOR LOAD RESTRAINT SYSTEMS:
Various different options are available for storage of loadlok bars and D-cups when they are not required. Some of these are shown below:

SHELVING:
Aluminium Shelving of various descriptions can be fitted to all bodies. Because Gray & Adams panels are manufactured in-house, reinforcements can be incorporated into the roof, floor and sidewall panels for securing the shelving at the stage of construction. Shelving can be individually designed to suit all applications.
LOAD RESTRAINT FOR MEAT OPERATIONS:
Meat Rails and Hooks can be fitted for transportation of raw meat and carcasses. Five runs of meat are fitted as standard and hooks can be fitted in quantities of 100, 200, 250 or 300. A hook cover can be incorporated which allows the hooks to be pushed against the underside of the roof when they are not in use. This prevents the hooks from getting damaged and means that the internal load height is not compromised when they are not required.
