INTERNAL SIDEWALL PROTECTION:

-
Aluminium Internal Scuff: These 200mm thick strips of aluminium protect the sidewalls from damage. These can be used for the floor to sidewall and sidewall to roof angles also.
-
Kemlite Internal Scuff: This hardwearing white strip protects the sidewalls and doors from damage and because it is easily cleaned makes a hygienic option.
EXTERNAL REAR END PROTECTION:
D-Buffers: These are fitted as standard on all trailers and bodies. The rubber construction compresses on contact with obstacles in the reversing path, significantly reducing the risk of damage to the rear frame and ultimately, to the trailer.
Butt Rollers: Eight of these rollers are fitted to the back end of the trailer, four at each side above the light plate. These protect the rear frame, in particular from the loading bay, because they roll on contact causing the vehicle or trailer to slide upwards therefore avoiding collision damage.
Rear Compression Buffer: The Gray & Adams compression buffer is an alternative to the standard D-Buffer. It is of steel construction and is spring mounted, meaning that it compresses automatically upon contact. Unlike conventional rubber buffers, it is resistant to damage often caused by trailers sliding up and down the loading bank:

Rear Bumper: In conjunction with any of the above, Gray & Adams now offer extra protection as standard in the form of a rubber buffer on each side of the rear frame. This gives additional protection from reversing damage.
Reversing Cameras: These cameras can be fixed to the rear of rigid vehicles to give a clear view of objects behind them when reversing. The external picture is transmitted on a unit inside the cab. This gives extra assistance to the driver to reduce rear frame damage and increases safety for people on site:

Stalk Lamps: LED lights are placed on stalks, which protrude from the rear of the trailer. These aid the driver by helping him to judge the distance to the rear bumper. Single or double stalks can be opted for.
