3.5 Tonne Refrigerated Box Bodies

          

In the past, demand for bodies at the small end of the market have leant very much towards 7.5 tonne vehicles but more recently, the demand for smaller bodies has risen significantly. Although Gray & Adams have always offered a body suitable for 3.5 tonne operations, a new lightweight body has recently been introduced, priced to compete in this now very competitive market sector. The motivation behind introducing this product has been as a result of changes in market demands brought about by new licensing laws. The new laws restrict anyone with a normal class B driving licence to driving vehicles no greater than 3500kg GVW, rather than 7500kg under previous regulations.

Insulated Panel Van Conversions

          

Although the manufacture of trailers and box bodies has been the core of the Gray & Adams business, a range of insulated panel van conversions are now available at most depots. Gray & Adams can convert new vehicles or can source second hand vehicles with low mileage and then convert and insulate them in-house. The idea behind this is to offer a cost effective alternative since using a second hand van can help to offset the cost of the conversion.
