In this edition, we speak to Michael Milne who works as a Welding Manufacturing Operative and is celebrating his 42 years with Gray & Adams this year.

What is your role at Gray & Adam’s and what are your day-to-day responsibilities?

My role is a Welding Manufacturing Operative and day to day I do the fifth wheels, welding stainless fronts and landing gear.

What brought you to Gray & Adams, and what has kept you there for so long?

The first place I was working shut down and I knew Gray & Adams was looking for welders and I applied and got the job. Steady employment has kept me here for so long and there are good people to work with.

What has been your biggest achievement while working for Gray & Adams?

Lasting 42 years

If you could do someone else’s job (at Gray & Adams) for the day, whose would it be and why?

No one else’s, I like my job and what I am doing day-to-day.

What is the best thing about working for Gray & Adams?

The people you work with – that’s the main purpose.
