Background
Gray & Adams has worked with leading international manufacturer and distributor of frozen and fresh foods, Euro Foods Group, for the last 6 years. Euro Foods offers a vast range of wholesale products suitable for restaurants, caterers and specialist supermarkets and needs high quality, reliable multi-temperature refrigerated vehicles to ensure they meet the demands of their growing customer base.
With a similar ethos to Gray & Adams, unlike other suppliers to restaurants and caterers, Euro Foods offers a bespoke delivery service to further enhance its customer service experience. With this shared approach to tailored and customer-focused products and services, the relationship has gone from strength to strength.
Customer requirement
Eurofoods had purchased trailers from Gray & Adams in 2017 and were so impressed with the quality and longevity of the product, they knew they would look to purchase some rigid vehicles at a later stage. The opportunity presented itself in 2019 when Euro Foods was looking to grow its fleet and an order was placed for three multi-temperature 12-tonne rigid vehicles, which offer a very competitive payload.
Working collaboratively
Although Covid-19 caused some delays in the supply chain, the Eurofoods team was as happy with the way customer service was maintained throughout the challenging build period as it was when it received the order.
Transport Manager at Euro Foods, Neill Cannell, explains

When our account manager, Chris, heard about a missing doorhandle spring, he sent three to us overnight so that they were on my desk in the morning.
