14 Feb Gray & Adams are First UK Manufacturer to have ECWVTA for a Range of Triaxle and Tandem axle Trailer Models

With effect from the 1st Jan 2011 Gray & Adams Ltd. is the first UK trailer manufacturer to have EC Whole Vehicle Type Approval for a range of triaxle and tandem axle trailer models.

The approvals cover both refrigerated and dry freight variants as well as any curtainsider variant built by the company and therefore will cover approximately 80% of current customer requirements.

It is to be noted that Type Approval does not become mandatory for trailers in the UK until October 2012 but this recent announcement by Gray & Adams is further proof of the company’s commitment to product and legislative development.

Rigid vehicle approval does not become mandatory until 2014 and Gray & Adams are confident that they will also achieve this in good time.
