Gray & Adams welcomes Andrew Sutherland to the team!

We are delighted to welcome Group Company Accountant, Andrew Sutherland to the Gray & Adams team. Andrew will be based at the Fraserburgh Headquarters, and he shares this of his appointment,

“I was born and bred in Fraserburgh and have been brought up within the fish processing industry, therefore the need for reliable refrigerated transport is not lost on me. Given my upbringing in the town, I’m very aware of the Gray & Adams business and the products that it manufactures.

I am a qualified Chartered Accountant and completed my qualification with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in 2016 and achieved fellowship status in 2021. I have spent the last 10 years of my career in the international energy services sector where I have gained exposure to large offshore construction projects that required bespoke engineered and manufactured pieces of equipment and highly skilled personnel to carry out the work required. This fast paced, highly complex international environment has served me well and allowed me to gain exposure and experience that I might not have gained elsewhere.

The lure of joining the Gray & Adams Group has always been there in the background and when an opportunity arose, it was impossible to let it slip by. With the industry facing some significant challenges after the COVID-19 pandemic and, more recently with challenges facing the global supply chain, I’m delighted to have the opportunity to support the business during this time. As a local and family business, I am well aware of the reputation for unparallel quality, service and innovation and I’m excited to be a part of this.”
